Batman Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 2000 words
Batman - Essay Example By comparing the politics of the Batman series to other original series, a series featuring an abundance of similar themes as well as academic and political regard, his creative innovations stand out as spectacular (White & Robert 73). Therefore, I plan to argue not only that the film acts as a political magnifier, but also how Batman is one of the best movies over the last decade and how Batman series are better than other movie series. First, in the Batman films, Director Burton has created a wicked world of misfits as compared to any other current film in the industry. In his production, all of the films bring out a mixture of horror, sympathy, and playfulness (Hatfield & Kent 59). The directorââ¬â¢s innovative brain in the films stands out as his hallmark, a spectacular input that has branded the collections of Batman as of more public demand than any other film of late. As to affirm this proposition, an excerpt from New York Times describes some of the inside brains behind th e success of the films as outstanding. For example, Michael Keaton features a person who has brought appropriate earnestness in the production of the films. As for Danny DeVito, he stands out as the conveying nerve while Christopher Walken as a ââ¬Ëwonderfully debonairââ¬â¢. The resonating nature of Batman productions does not augur well without the mention of Michelle Pfeiffer who has remained as a captivating, fierce, and seductively ruthless actor as Batman uses these actors to ride the audiences back to the liberating darkness of dreams (White & Robert 84). This is what made a movie like Batman Returns as the summerââ¬â¢s most explosive and captivating film/movie. For example, as for the actor Michelle Pfeiffer, Batman stitches so good the feminist avenger of a tough core of intelligence in her role. This classic dazzler role pins these movies at the charts of the most interesting innovation the industry has had to sell to the public (Langley 88). This has placed Batman creativity at the best of all. In his masterpiece movie, Returns, Batman accomplishment lies in the amazing physical realization of an imaginative universe. Through his director Burton, he not only re-creates his one of a kind atmosphere but also ones-up it, and even two-ups it as well. This evokes the psycho-murky worlds in which the characters operate and reside. For example, Penguin holds court in a penguin-crowded, Phantom of the opera like sewer home (White & Robert 92). One can also realize that Keaton hides in a castle like mansion as this brings out the ownerââ¬â¢s inner remoteness. This movie creates a seamlessly, utterly consistent universe filled with nasty notions. It captures the immediate societal degradation, greed and other base impulses, themes which incarcerate the immediate context the audience's brush shoulders with hence making the film/movie not only relevant but also feasible in the world we are living (Langley 76). This has made Batman movie Return famous even though critics have found its anti-Semitic overtones in Penguins character not appealing. Batman series is objectively better than any other superhero stories. Like many arguments online, Batman series is built up by intelligence and careful preparation. Batmanââ¬â¢s regular stories are interesting making it the best series that

The Impact of Afterschool Programs within California High Schools Research Paper
The Impact of Afterschool Programs within California High Schools - Research Paper Example This report declares that in the study of the impact of after school programs within California high schools, the variables were debate, church, track, football, baseball, basketball, swim team, lacrosse, soccer, karate, volleyball, tennis, cheerleading, gymnastics, dance, no after school activities, studentsââ¬â¢ academics and community involvement. Variables are the factors or elements which make up a given argument as they act on each other in various ways. They are the determinants of how a given phenomenon shall turn out to be. There are different types of variables. Generally speaking, there are the dependent variables and the independent variables. The independent variables are those which do not change regardless. This paper makes a conclusion that doctors and psychologists concur that indeed at the high school age, the students have a young body and brain all of which are growing at a very fast rate. There are very many changes that are taking place in the body of the students at this point in time and putting too much stress on them is a recipe for disaster. In this regard, considering the fact that the academic content in high schools is one of the toughest and nerve racking, it is very recommended that a way is devised for taking the stress away from the students. There is no better way than engaging the students in after school programs on a daily basis. It is a source of comfort that is effective in the restoration of sanity to the young minds of the high school students. In the study of the impact of after school programs within California high schools, the variables were debate, church, track, football, baseball, basketball, swim team, lacrosse, soccer, karate, volleyball, tennis, chee rleading, gymnastics, dance, no after school activities, studentsââ¬â¢ academics and community involvement. There are different types of variables. Generally speaking, there are the dependent variables and the independent variables. The independent variables are those which do not change regardless. They are not affected by any other factors or variables. They are usually factors which are either permanent or are changed by supernatural factors. In this case, they are the studentsââ¬â¢ academics and community involvement which are always invariable. On the other hand, dependent variables are those which rely on other variables so as to act in a given fashion. They cannot stand on their own as changes which occur on other factors would alter them to behave

The impact of celebrity endorsement Coursework
The impact of celebrity endorsement - Coursework Example Marketing has always been a challenge and more so for products that are costlier as the customers for the same are restricted in numbers due to need for higher purchasing power. The common products of daily use are a must for all, and although the marketers need to push these products too, due to high competition by similar products, the real test for marketing lies in pushing the highly priced premium products like watches that can only attract discerning buyers who wish to be seen as a class apart from the ordinary buyer. Brands like Rolex, Omega and Breitling fall under this category of products. The rationale of a watch is to show accurate time and almost any watch can serve the purpose. However their class, premium features, speciality materials, extraordinary quality and their aura command certain respect from both the customer and the onlooker. They exude an aura for the user and awe of the observer. What motivates the customer to buy them? How are these marketed? Is value created through normal advertising or does it need special advertising support in form of celebrity endorsement? 2.0 Advertisement Companies need to advertise in order to spearhead their marketing efforts. Earlier advertisements were informative in nature and were used to convey the properties of the products and their general usefulness. Price information became a part of advertisement in order to bring home the point about it being affordable and competitive. The homogeneity of many products needed some distinguishing factors and for this branding of products was the new method of distinctiveness. A company could have different brands for a variety of products. Later even the branding of the company became an identifying factor for excellence of products or service. 2.1 Medium of Advertisements The first medium was the print media as this was the prevalent mass method and targeted consumers could read about the products. Rival companies made campaigns out of such advertisements and from positive advertisements portraying the

Drug Patch Design Research Paper Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1000 words - 1
Drug Patch Design - Research Paper Example NASA approached me to design this patch. The design I came up with in my mind was of a patch that could be worn by all astronauts and which would last at least for 60 hours so that less umber of patches would be needed. In my present project I will be studying and analyzing the rates of diffusivity in different skins while altering parametes such as diffusivity (D), thickness of membrane (L) and concentration of Scopolamine drug (Cp). The next layer would be the reservoir layer where a certain diluted concentration of the drug would be present. It must be remembered that the concentration is extremely important since even a slightly higher concentration would have serious deleterious effects (Parrott,p1).The layers beneath this would all be permeable such that they allow the drug to slowly diffuse out of the reservoir layer and travel up to the skin. Once the drug reaches the skin it would diffuse into the skin and enter the blood. Therefore a person wearing this patch would have a constant dose of a diluted form of the drug which would help one in overcoming motion sickness and perform duties efficiently. The patch I designed was tested a few times and recorded the values of skin thickness, diffusion rate, time and range of flux. While running the test simulations I studied 3 different test diffusivities and 3 different membrane thickness along with 7 different concentrations. All the tests run under the different test parameters helped me construct the graphs from where I obtained important conclusions. Looking at the graphs we can see that with time both concentration as well as flux gradually reduce and come to a zero. My patch that I finalized worked with all skins and concentrations. The main scope of the test stimulations was to come up with a patch design that would be beneficial for astronauts. Firstly it must meet the time criteria i.e. it should last for several hours. Secondly the concentration should be just right. If the drug

Inside job Movie Review Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 750 words
Inside job - Movie Review Example The movie arouses emotions of hatred towards those with financial power and annoyance towards regulatory agencies. The activities portrayed are too inhuman to bear and even come to terms with, which people with such wicked ambition do exist, and little can be done to bring their mindset to a halt. This is including the lack of a conscious, which seems to be the perfect definition of a capitalist nation, and one in which power is given to a chosen few to control the fate of the countryââ¬â¢s economics. The worst part in the entire movie is the lack of measures to regulate the financial industry, and especially the replacement of business executives. This is concerning the selfish ambition with no regard, whatsoever, for human welfare, other than propulsion of their business enterprises into greater heights. This is particularly so with the selfish decision made in misleading investors, in internet stocks, to continue investing heavily while then returns, in the future, were not som ething worth considering (Scots 2). It is also frustrating to watch, in the movie, the lack of accountability after the bubble burst in the face of the world. The situation is made worse by the presence of Charles Morris and Lawrence Summers in the movies. They are the most annoying characters in the footage owing to their carefree attitudes in a dire situation that requires seriousness to put the audience at ease. Charles Morris finds it amusing that bankers have taken advantage of the windfall resultant from selfish decisions and misfortunes of members of the public. He is also annoying in his attempt to induce humor in the cheap mindset of the individual bankers at making large fortunes and thinking it is because they are smart, which is the opposite. This is because; his attempts appear as a mockery to the innocent pubic, which loses to the bankers. It also depicts the public as being part of a foolish movement that is easily swayed by winds of selfish ambition. Lawrence summers , though not an official member of the cast, is also annoying with his conceptions of other peoplesââ¬â¢ ideas despite being backed by ideas. This is such as the warning given by Raghuram Rajan earlier of the pending financial crisis in the near future, which summers dismisses and mocks (Scott 1). Since the 1980s, the financial sector has undergone a phase of lack of regulation as opposed to the period before it putting the country in the state it currently is. With this mind, the film puts the blame for the situation squarely on the shoulders of both political parties; that is democrats and republicans (Scot 1). This is because during the entire period of lack of regulation, both parties have been in power and have done little to ease the tension in the financial sector. This is as portrayed by Ferguson through the dropping of regulation of the economy in the 1980s and the resultant crisis in the late 2000s. The blame for the entire crisis originates with the government followin g the policy against regularization of the finance industry, which could have been fuelled by financial institutions. However, the main cause of the crisis lies with the selfish bankers individually and their boards for misleading members of the public and capitalizing on their trust in financial institutions. Decisions made by financial services companies led to the meltdown in the financial sector by undermining reports of looming collapse of the financial system.

Methodology Assignment Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 3000 words
Methodology - Assignment Example All researchers base their work on philosophical assumptions. A researcher works within a parameter of socially influenced outlook, and there so the initial assumptions are always taken for granted. Generally speaking, philosophical assumption is deduction made by the researchers based on his previous knowledge and perspective of the concerned subject (Scotland, 2012). There are three kinds of philosophical assumptions that form the root of a research methodology. The structure of a research is consisted of ontology, epistemology, methodology, and methods (Scotland, 2012). Ontology can be defined as the study of a subjectââ¬â¢s reality and deals with the question of ââ¬Å"what isâ⬠(Scotland, 2012). The researcher needs to define his perspective concerning the subject based on its real form and implications (Scotland, 2012). Epistemology is concerned with knowledge that is collected from field research (Scotland, 2012). Epistemological assumptions are born from study of data that are collected and assimilated by the researcher (Scotland, 2012). It is an establishment of relation between the ââ¬Å"would-be-knower and what can be knownâ⬠(Scotland, 2012, p.9). The structure of a research is confined within ontological and epistemological assumptions. All the assumptions that are made by the researcher are based on guesswork (Scotland, 2012), and so the philosophical aspects of the research can never proven as completely true or false (Scotland, 2012). The ontological and epistemological assumptions differ with each research since each subject has its own definition of reality and therefore the research approach is also different. Methodology is the defined course of action which is reliant on the selected methods of research (Scotland, 2012). Therefore, methodology is the process and reasons of data collection and deduction (Scotland, 2012). Methodology is the manner in which the researcher confirms or refutes his
